Dear all,

The last movie of the term is a great one : Beauty and the beast by Jean Cocteau

A 1946 romantic fantasy film by Jean Cocteau, starring Jean Marais and Josette Day. Adaptation of the fairy tale written by Madame Le Prince de Beaumont. A poetic masterpiece.

I guess you have seen the Disney movie and know the story, now it is time to discover what movie one of the greatest French artists of the 20th century, poet, director and playwright did with it.

On Thursdays 8pm in the Raised Faculty Building (Sidgwick site). The movies are in French version with subtitles. The cineclub is open to everyone (and free). You can find here the program for Michaelmas Term : http://www.eleves.ens.fr/home/brouille/cineclub.html

For any information you can send me an email (mdjb3), Hope to see you on Thursday, Manon
