Abstract
In 2010 I carried out a summer placement with Unilever to examine how the degradation of biodiversity and ecosystem services (BES) may impact its ability to grow its business. With Unilever as a case study, this talk will take a look at conservation from a business perspective. What are the risks posed by BES degradation to corporate companies, and what kinds of actions are they taking to address such risks? I will focus particularly on the tools available to such companies to assess and manage their impacts on BES .
