Abstract
Adolescent Depression in the US
With a prevalence rate of approximately 5-8 percent in the US, adolescent depression is a disorder that leads to various difficulties, including those in interpersonal, academic, sexual, and occupational domains. It is also comorbid with various other disorders that can affect adolescents. This seminar will include an overview of teen depression along with assessment issues and the current state of counselling approaches.
