A Female Perspective: Lorraine Heggessey

Lorraine Heggessey has carved an esteemed career in filmmaking, rising to become the first female Controller of BBC1 in 2000, and was most recently CEO of the incredibly successful production company Talkback Thames (responsible for The Bill, X Factor, Green Wing and QI among many others). Lorraine has witnessed significant change in the industry over the past 30 years, not least in how women are viewed. Come along to hear about how opportunities have changed for women, if and where barriers still exist, what obstacles young actresses may face compared with their counterparts, and discuss the route to success with a role model for women in TV and Film.
