Abstract
Conjugated organic semiconductors offer new opportunities for the controlled manufacturing of active electronic circuits by a combination of solution processing and direct printing. We will review recent insights into the device and charge transport physics of both conjugated polymers as well as solution-processible small molecule organic semiconductors, with a particular focus on the microscopic processes that limit the field-effect mobility in these systems.
