Kazuto Fujishima described his interest as: “I am studying about development of cerebellar Purkinje cell dendrites. I am interested in the growth dynamics of dendritic branches. By utilizing time-lapse imaging, I succeeded in identifying the dynamic behaviors of branch outgrowth. A main theme of the study is evaluating the important contribution of branch retraction on the spatial distribution pattern of Purkinje cell dendrites. I tackled this theme by using time-lapse experiments and simple computer simulation methods”.
