Inverse Problems

We consider SL differential operators with a potential having a singularity in the interior of the interval. In some situations (e.g. for a Bessel type singularity) the differential expression generates a self-adjoint operator in a Pontryagin space. These considerations are related to M.G.Krein’s method for solving the inverse spectral problem for SL operators. Joint work with Malcolm Brown and Matthias Langer.
