Abstract
Do engineering enterprises want to save the planet, or do they have other reasons for being concerned about the environment?
This talk will discuss important drivers in design for environment, particularly those concerned with business risk. It will explain why European environmental regulations are forcing new thinking in product design, supply chain information management and product stewardship, across the globe and will present some software solutions for Eco-Design and restricted substances information management.
Series This talk is part of the Engineering - Mechanics Colloquia Research Seminars series.
