Minister Dimitri Shashkini has served as the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia since December 2009. Prior to that, he served as Georgia’s Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance; Inspector of Georgian Minister of Interior’s Weapon Office; and Army Lieutenant.

Minister Shashkini earned his Master’s degree in Criminal Law from Tbilisi State University’s Law Faculty.
