Abstract
Recognised as a Woman Of Outstanding Achievement by the UK Resource Centre for Women in SET , Professor Dowling was also the UK lead for the Silent Aircraft Initiative – a partnership between Cambridge University and MIT to develop a conceptual design for a next-generation, ultra-low noise, fuel-efficient aircraft. This talk is one of a programme of events run by Lucy Cavendish College which are open to the public. Places are limited so we advise that you arrive early to avoid disappointment.
The talk will last 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute discussion session.
