Bela Bollobas, FRS , has and “Erdös number” of 1 and was awarded the Senior Whitehead Prize by the London Mathematical Society. During the talk, he will present some classical gems together with recent results concerning incidences of points and lines, and intersections and covers of sets.

After the talk, Prof. Bollobas has invited the audience to a wine-and-cheese party at his house.
