BOOKING FOR THIS TALK IS NOW FULL ; IF YOU WISH TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITING LIST THEN PLEASE USE THE EMAIL DETAILS BELOW Dame Stella Rimington will be visiting Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, to discuss her life so far, the role of literary criticism, notions of literary worth, the Booker Prize and the judging process, as well as discussing her own books and the inspiration behind them. She will be interviewed by the Lucy Cavendish College Director of Studies in English, Dr Isobel Maddison. Dame Stella Rimington is the ex-Director General of the MI5 , and now a leading author of crime/thriller/espionage novels; she was also the Chair of the 2011 Man Booker Prize judges. This discussion will last 45 minutes, with plenty of time for questions, and forms part of the College’s Women Word events for 2011/12 – the annual festival of voices and creativity.
