Energy related practices relating to the built environment are characterised by high transaction costs. Therefore, the promotion of energy efficient improvements in this sector requires social change, as well as technical innovation. The EEBE research programme and LessEn intiatives are working together to achieve this by facilitating knowledge exchange between research, business, and policy makers in order to gain common perspectives and drive awareness. Such work has provided valuable opportunities to enrich the debate and take leadership. This seminar provides a brief overview of some of the more recent work conducted.
