The failure of the bridge is often seen as an inevitable result of the high winds on that night, but re-examination of the evidence suggests a different conclusion. Poor structural design and materials were the more likely root cause of the accident, with forensic metallurgy at the forefront.

Talk open to all those with an interest in welding, joining and metallurgy.
