Abstract
This session presents the findings of a systematic review of the research literature commissioned by BACP . We updated the research on the effectiveness of counselling and psychotherapy with children and young people between 2004 and 2011. This included looking at the effectiveness of various therapeutic approaches and interventions for particular groups, ages and stages. We will also discuss certain methodological and substantive issues, which emerged from the review as very important.
