Abstract
From post-Independence home movies and art films to propaganda productions and Bollywood cinema, this session will propose an integrated approach of the visual literacy that defines as well as challenges current interpretations of South Asian identity and society. It will also build on the theories and visual research methods examining the film culture in South Asia.
