Last talk of term. Please note this talk is on Monday.

Since the onset of the current economic crisis, more and more people, from outside and inside the discipline, have begun to reach the same conclusion: economics has failed. If they’re right (hint: they are), what’s the alternative? In this talk I will give an introduction to econophysics – a scientific approach to the study of financial markets. How did it start? What does it involve? What does it do right? What does it do wrong? And most importantly, why is it the only way to properly understand financial systems? I will also outline some of my own research in this area.

Talk is free for members, and £2 for non-members.
