Abstract
Merging lyrical nonfiction, memoir, and the visual, this talk focusses on the erotics of teh author’s youth, homosexuality, taboo and secret desires, illicit romance and lively family interactions in Jamaica in the 1970s, approximately a decade adter the end of the British colonial era, the beginning of Jamaica’s independence, and the burgeoning of the Jamaica’s black power movement.
