Abstract
This talk will focus on conversation in dementia, because although it is a common communication problem, it is one that has been given little attention. As typical conversation can be a difficult thing to achieve in dementia, there is an opportunity for technology to assist individuals in maintaining more satisfying relationships through the augmentation of conversation. I will outline how conversation can be valuable for those with dementia, what the obstacles are, and what role technology can play in ameliorating these problems.
