Abstract
In “From Mars to the Multiverse”, the former President of the Royal Society and current Astronomer Royal will describe recent observational highlights, including the discovery that many stars are orbited by planets, and discuss what can be inferred about cosmic evolution from various probes of the distant and early universe.
Everyone is welcome. Free for all! Followed by refreshments (that means smoothies, cheese and grapes!). Also, before this talk non-members can acquire life membership at a discounted price of £10.
