When is a controlled experiment not a controlled experiment?

I will discuss the ongoing controversy over the safety of GM foods. I will focus on the discussion that resulted from the publication of a controlled experiment. The experiment, a two year feeding experiment, was published by Gilles-Éric Séralini in September 2012 in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology.
