Abstract
The talk will include: basic problems in single crystals, the ellipsoidal slip band, the tilted ellipsoidal slip band, give a slight redefinition of entropy for complex indeterminate systems subject to sclerotic boundary conditions, consider maximum entropy and self-organised criticality, outline steps to solve the problems, and ask ‘Is there s universal number?’
