Abstract
Note that this talk has been rescheduled due to a clash earlier in the term.
I will present results from Defra’s (the UK government’s Department of the environment, food and rural affairs) modelling intercomparison exercise. In this project, many groups submitted model results for the same base year, and were evaluated against ground station observations. The project was divided in to urban air pollution, regional ozone pollution, and deposition to the surface. I will also discuss these results and highlight air quality related research areas that would be useful for policy makers. The published reports are available at http://uk-air.defra.gov.uk/research/air-quality-modelling?view=intercomparison.
