The Africa Research Forum (ARF), is an interdisciplinary discussion group for graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, visiting academics, and Cambridge University faculty members doing Africa-related research. Participants from academic disciplines across the humanities and social sciences are welcome to attend our informal meetings. Rather than polished seminar papers, we prefer rough ‘works-in-progress’, which are pre-circulated a week ahead of the group discussion to enable participants to have enough time to develop constructive comments.

The current convenors of the ARF are Dr Zoe Groves (zg242@cam.ac.uk), an historian and a Fellow at Peterhouse, and Dr Ruth Watson ( riw21@cam.ac.uk), another historian based at Clare College. Please contact Zoe or Ruth if you would like to share your research work with us, we’d be happy to hear from you. If you would like to receive notifications of upcoming presentations and copies of pre-circulated papers, please sign up here: https://lists.cam.ac.uk/mailman/listinfo/cas-africa-research-forum
