New particles beyond the standard model have not been found at the LHC , and direct dark matter detection experiments provided inconclusive results so far. As a consequence, dark matter has only been indirectly observed through its gravitational effects. In this talk, I will discuss two alternatives to particle dark matter that are pure manifestations of gravity: primordial black holes and a modification of gravity called “mimetic dark matter”.
