Abstract
With the upcoming General Election this year, there is no more pressing time to consider the future direction of policy on science and technology. An MP for Ellesmere Port and Neston since 1992, Andrew Miller is the Chair of the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee, which oversees government policy and ensures decision-making is underpinned by robust scientific evidence. He thus has unrivalled experience and authority to offer insight into the progress made by the coalition government and remaining challenges in UK science.
