Abstract
The Yusuf Hamied Theatre, Christ’s College Cambridge
Thursday 26 February (17:30 – 19:00), followed by drinks
This is the first of four seminars. Professor Charles Kennel will discuss whether the widespread goal to stop global warming at 2 degrees above pre-industrial levels is in fact misguided. He will argue that this framing is neither the best scientific measure of climate change nor politically effective. Professor Susan Owens will respond, drawing upon her knowledge of the relationship between science and politics.
