We consider Schrdinger operator in dimension two and discuss perturbative methods and spectral results for periodic, limit-periodic and quasi-periodic potentials. We start with methods for periodic potentials, and then discuss their development for limit-periodic potentials, and, eventually, multiscale analysis in the momentum space for quasi-periodic potentials.
