Abstract
This week, I’ll go through Chengxian Zhai and John Lafferty’s CIKM ’01 paper, ‘Model-based feedback in the language modeling approach to information retrieval’. Get it from the ACM website:
http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?coll=GUIDE&dl=GUIDE&id=502654
If you have any trouble downloading the paper then let me know and I’ll mail you a copy.
If you’re feeling keen, there’s another paper with some background on the risk minimization framework:

Feel free to bring lunch if you want.
