Abstract
Almost all countries in the world have made a formal commitment to halt biodiversity loss by 2020. Studies, including a Science published paper from BirdLife International and partners, have indicated how much it would cost to achieve this goal and save nature from pressing impacts. However, no one wants to ‘pay the bill’. Developed and developing countries now dispute whose responsibility is that!
