Cambridge Ukrainian Studies invites you to a special evening of Polish-, Ukrainian- and English-language poetry and music in celebration of the art of literary translation and in honour of the journal Vsesvit (The Universe), the longest active cultural journal in Ukraine.

The event will feature readings of poetry by Adam Zagajewski, Wisława Szymborska, Jerzy Ficowski and Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński in Polish, Ukrainian and English. We are very pleased to announce that accomplished pianist Alla Sirenko will be performing original compositions inspired by the selected verse over the course of the evening.

A reception with wine and canapes will open the event at 18:00.
