Four months after Syriza’s coming to power in Greece, what are the main challenges faced by the new government in its struggle against the policies of austerity imposed by the Troika? What is the assessment of Alexis Tsipras’s first 100 days as Prime Minister, and what are the prospects for his government going forward? What are the obstacles for the struggle against austerity posed by European law? Join us for a discussion with Dr. Stathis Kouvelakis and Dr. Eva Nanopoulos that addresses these important questions. Dr. Stathis Kouvelakis is a Reader in Political Theory at King’s College London. He is an expert on European Political Thought and the Theory of Political Parties, and is a leading commentator on Syriza. Dr. Eva Nanopoulos is the Bob Alexander College Lecturer and Fellow in Law at Cambridge. She is an expert on Constitutional and European Union Law
