Abstract
I will discuss aspects of half-BPS boundary conditions in three dimensional gauge theories with N = 4 supersymmetry, focussing on simple examples. I will then propose a physical origin of `symplectic duality’, which is a remarkable correspondence between mathematical structures associated to pairs of holomorphic symplectic spaces.
