Abstract
Our exciting third talk of the term is from Dr Hugh Lewis, a leading aerospace engineer from the University of Southampton.
Dr. Lewisβ exciting multidisciplinary work involves astronautics, artificial neural networks and preventing the use of outer space in war. He is a leading British scientist who works with the UN and the IADC to coordinate international space activities. He will discuss the emerging threat of space debris and near-Earth objects and explain how we must manage them as a concerted international force. Last weekβs nanotechnology talk was very cool, but this might just top it. We hope you can join us.
As usual, the talk will be followed by wine and cheese. The talk is free to members, and Β£2 for non-members – there will be the opportunity to buy lifetime membership for Β£15 on the night.
Series This talk is part of the SciSoc β Cambridge University Scientific Society series.
