There are mammals, fish and amphibians…and then there’s the duck-billed platypus. There have been various attempts to design a definitive taxonomy of item types, most recently to examine ‘drift’ in examinations in Northern Ireland. There are various functions to which taxonomies can be put. This is a genuine seminar – based on open exchange – designed to explore the issues in moving towards a taxonomy for use in development, management and research at Cambridge Assessment.
