How does a modern editor strike the balance between retaining public-good, investigative journalism â the bedrock of any democracy â and the populist celebrity/lifestyle content that attracts bigger audiences? With the industry grappling to find a new business model for digital content â and media company shareholders demanding higher returns â how can the survival of quality journalism be ensured?
