Abstract
Join Professor Martin Roland CBE , Emeritus Professor of Health Services Research at the Cambridge Institute of Public Health, Dr Julian Huppert, former MP for Cambridge, and Dr Leila Luheshi, Head of Science at the PHG Foundation, as they discuss their experience engaging with policy, share their advice for researchers, and answer your questions. The event will be chaired by Dr Paula Frampton, Coordinator of the PublicHealth@Cambridge Network. Professor Roland chaired the Primary Care Workforce Commission, and subsequently worked to ensure the Commission’s 38 recommendations were heard by key stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to better understand how research can impact policy from a variety of perspectives, and to hear from Professor Roland in advance of his retirement.
This event is hosted by the Public Health: Research into Policy pilot.
