Abstract
Are you intrigued about Data Science? A data scientist is very often compared to a unicorn—one which talks Maths, Statistics and coding, with an inquisitive eye for business. Therefore, with so many subjects to master, it can be quite overwhelming to try to break into Data Science. In this talk I will describe the journey from Science to Data Science. I will discuss the skills one should master and how to transition from academia & industry to become a data scientist.
As part of our series of Data Science Tech Talks, this meetup will provide useful insight into how to progress into the field, followed by evening drinks at our Cambridge office.
