Abstract
The rapidly evolving field of biomedicine makes the mining of terminology one of the key factors for accessing the information stored in literature. Given that existing biomedical resources are not sufficient for text mining applications new techniques are needed for mining new terms.
This talk will focus on techniques for automatically recognising and structuring terminology from literature based on the work done at the National Centre for Text Mining and the EU BOOTS Trep project.
Series This talk is part of the NLIP Seminar Series series.
