Proving a negative: what is the gas/dust ratio in protoplanetary disks?

Abstract
Gas is destiny for planet formation. The spectacular ALMA images of protoplanetary disks masquerade an embarrassing ignorance about their gas content. Estimates for the gas mass in the closest disk to us vary by two orders of magnitude. I will present ALMA surveys that highlight this problem and discuss possible ways to reconcile the disparate measurements.
