Multivariate Visualisation and Searches for a Zā decaying to Leptons at CMS
- š¤ Speaker: Benjamin Radburn-Smith (Seoul National University)
- š Date & Time: Tuesday 18 October 2016, 15:00 - 16:00
- š Venue: Rutherford Seminar Room B
Abstract
This seminar will cover two different topics. The first part discusses a couple of interesting multivariate visualisations which could be used as part of any data analysis: parallel coordinates and the grand tour. The second part gives an overview of the searches for a heavy resonance, such as a Zā, decaying into electrons and muons using the 13 TeV data collected by the CMS experiment in 2015 and 2016. These results will be compared to those from the ATLAS experiment.
