Abstract
Electronics technology scaling now favours transistor over wires. This is starting to cause a design revolution which will fundamentally change the way we architect computer systems. Current thinking is that we are finally entering the era of parallel computing for the masses with all of the challenges that will bring. We argue that the shift is even more dramatic since communication efficiency will become more important than computational efficiency. Turn up to this talk to figure out how this will revolutionise Computer Science.
