Neutron spin echo and reflectivity (at OFFSPEC)

- đ Venue: Mott Seminar Room, Cavendish Laboratory
Abstract
Neutron reflectivity is a powerful technique for investigating surfaces and thin films. The OFFSPEC instrument at ISIS neutron and muon source is both a reflectometer but also has a neutron spin echo (NSE) option. I will give a brief overview of the two techniques (with a particular focus on the implementation of NSE on the beamline), as well as some of my recent related work on thin film superconductor/ferromagnet proximity effects.
