Abstract
Acidophil is a biotechnology innovation and commercialization company that semi-serially creates, manages and commercializes new biotechnology products and businesses serving health and agriculture. Recently, Acidophil co-founded AgriMetis with Syngenta Ventures as an “external innovator” to develop novel products and methods to manufacture products for crop protection. This talk aims to provide an overview of the process used by Acidophil to develop new opportunities, explore lessons learnt from building AgriMetis that may be applicable to a new venture focused on medicines for animal health and illustrate ways in which parties interested in veterinary medicine could work with Acidophil.
