Abstract
An open meeting to discuss the potential impact of Brexit on teaching, research, recruitment in the modern languages. Sally Hunt (General Secretary of UCU ) will discuss the implications of Brexit on research. Silke Mentchen (Senior Language Teaching Officer, MML ) will look at the potential impact on outreach, recruitment and teaching. Each of our speakers will present for 15m with ample time for questions, discussion and planning a response to the rapidly-changing situation environment for the modern languages here in Cambridge and in HE at large.
