Abstract
I will describe recent progress in the Cryogenic Instrumentation for Quantum Electronics (CIQE) EPSRC Basic Technology project. This project has provided a custom dilution refidgerator with cryogenic CMOS measurement electronics, enabling a four orders of magnitude improvement in measurement speed compared to conventional room temperature electronics. As an example, I will show a single shot measurement of a single electron excitation within an SOI SET .
