Experimental Medicine Imaging in Pharmaceutical Research - GSK clinical imaging overview and opportunities for collaboration
- đ¤ Speaker: Marius de Groot (GSK)
- đ Date & Time: Tuesday 23 May 2017, 14:00 - 15:00
- đ Venue: MR11 Centre for Mathematical Sciences
Abstract
Pharmaceutical research and development is always seeking to find less invasive and more effective ways to measure the response to experimental treatment. In this talk, Marius will illustrate how clinical imaging can contribute to this aim, and how the GlaxoSmithKline Experimental Medicine Imaging group develops advanced imaging probes, particularly for use in early phase clinical studies. He will give a brief overview of the work in this group and will highlight specific projects in which GSK is interested to explore collaborations. These include projects in multi-parametric modelling and machine learning.
