Smoothness of multi-black hole horizons

Abstract
I will review some previous work regarding the smoothness or otherwise of various multi-black hole solutions in both 4 dimensions and higher. It has been known for some time that static multi-black hole solutions to Einstein-Maxwell theory in more than four dimension do not have smooth horizons. I will talk about recent work where the lack of smoothness of such solutions was shown to be worse than previously known.
