We are joined by Graham Cross, Concession Transformation Director, Arriva Rail London to talk to us about the London Overground concession. The London Overground network has massively expanded recently, taking over many previous lines operated by TOCs. With plans of further expansion, this talk shall indeed be interesting to hear about the sheer scale of intra-London overground transport.

Mixed audience, from many different subject areas. All welcomed to come.

The presentation, Q&A session open to the floor, providing a perfect chance to talk to Graham about the Arriva London, or even specific graduate opportunities. (You can also ask about his trains! I will!)

About the CURC :

Founded in 1911 from the Cambridge University branch of The Railway Club, the CURC is the second oldest railway enthusiast club in Britain! The CURC tries to arrange an event in Cambridge every week during Full Term. On most Wednesdays or Fridays this involves an invited speaker giving an illustrated talk on a specific subject, and this is almost always a professional from the rail industry or preservation. We’ve had big names in the past, including senior managers from several Train Operating Companies.

We also visit railway sites termly including depots, signalling centres and industrial railways for members.

We charge £3 at the door for non-members, upon your third entry to a talk (first two talks are free).
