University of Cambridge Research Funding Roadshow

11am – 3pm, Wednesday 21 November 2007

University Centre, Granta Place, Mill Lane, Cambridge

The 2007 Research Funding Roadshow will bring together many major University research sponsors. The event is intended for academics and research staff and aims to share the latest information from sponsors about the various funding strategies and schemes available. Representatives from Cambridge Enterprise and RSD will also be attending and the pFACT team will be available to give demonstrations and advice on costing proposals.

The Roadshow is an open-house event and so you are invited to drop in at any time between 11am and 3pm. Why attend? Find out about the latest funding strategies, programmes and schemes Meet sponsors, key policy makers and peers Discuss potential funding opportunities and exchange information in a relaxed environment Confirmed attendees:

BBSRC , British Council, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, Cambridge Enterprise, EPSRC , ESRC, Leverhulme Trust, MRC , RSD, The British Academy, The Royal Society, STFC , Technology Strategy Board, UK Research Office and the Wellcome Trust.

Workshops will be run throughout the day as follows

11:00 – 11:30 EC

11:45 – 12:15 MRC

12:30 – 13:00 Wellcome Trust

13:15 – 13:45 EPSRC

14:00 – 14:30 Leverhulme Trust

14:45 – 15:15 ESRC (First Grants & Knowledge Transfer)
